T-Rex and the Mother’s Day Hug by Lois G. Grambling

T-Rex and the Mother's Day Hug by Lois G. GramblingT-Rex doesn’t give his mother a present for Mother’s Day;  he does something for her.  Even though his mother tries to tell him that giving her a hug is plenty, he concludes that she would love to have her car decorated instead.

Drawing Conclusions: T-Rex’s mother would prefer a hug.  Evidence to support this includes the previous wallpaper disaster of wallpapering one of his relatives to the wall.  The decorated car makes more work for her to clean up.

Young children will identify with T-Rex’s good intentions.
