In Duck at the Door, students have and opportunity to predict who duck brings back with him when he returns, and in Duck Soup, students have an opportunity to say why they think the animals inferred.
Drawing Conclusions: The characters in the book draw the conclusion that duck was in the soup (a feather is floating on top).
